Login types

Two types of login to the wayCloud platform can be used.

  1. Email and Password This form of registration is available to all users whose organization (corresponds to the domain of the e-mail address) does not require a Microsoft registration. You can create a new account via the registration link in the lower part of the mask.

  2. Microsoft account (SSO) If a company has a so-called Azure Active Directory (AAD) available, it can use it to govern its users. As soon as an organization has made the necessary settings (see below), user access can be conveniently administered via its own AAD. This enables central administration of authorized users who can log on to the wayCloud platform (single sign-on).

Configuration AAD (SSO)

Try to login with a Microsoft account of your organization. This will fail until the next steps but will register the app for the next steps described below. You need to have tenant administration permissions to complete these steps.

In the Azure portal select the Azure Active Directory (1). Select the section Enterprise Applications (2) and open the entry for the “wayCloud Platform” (3). In the section Permissions (4) all the permissions requested by the app are listed. On the top of the permission list is a button, that an admin can use to grant the permission for the requested scopes. In the other sections the users and groups who can use the app can be configured. Bild1

Concluding the configuration should enable the login for all AAD members. To disable the alternative login with e-mail and password, please contact us.
